DIRTY RUBY
UK BLUES AWARDS 2026 NOMINEE ‘BEST EMERGING BAND’
Dirty Ruby are a five‑piece contemporary blues band hailing from the East Midlands, first formed in 2018. Compared to ’70s blues‑rock bands Stone the Crows and Vinegar Joe, with Anna’s lead vocals compared to Chrissie Hynde and Elkie Brooks.
The band consists of a tight rhythm section, gorgeous blues guitar with a bit of ‘crunch’, dirty Hammond organ / Fender Rhodes keyboards with vocal harmonies and a smattering of harmonica.
Having received Top 20 nominations for Best Emerging Band 2025 and 2026, from the UK Blues Federation, the band are gaining momentum and causing waves on the circuit. Their original material is a mix of Blues genres, well written, lyrically good and well delivered, and with a genuinely strong sound, the band are definitely going places.
