2019 FESTIVAL
Horncliffe’s first Beer and Music Festival took place on the 13th and 14th July 2019. There was a great atmosphere and residents and visitors alike enjoyed the entertainment, food and drink.
The excellent live music on offer included Steve Daggett, Steve Morrison, Iain Petrie, The Salmon City Blues Band, The Nick Allmark Band, Isaac Sutherland, Andrew Hunter and BB Love, and showcased blues, acoustic, funk, jazz and folk music. On Saturday afternoon, the Fisher's Arms pub hosted Northumbrian pipes and informal poetry readings.
Visitors enjoyed real ale from Cheviot Brewery, First and Last, Bear Claw and Cross Border Brewery plus a free supper provided by Horncliffe Veg Shed on Saturday evening.
The highlight of the Festival Launch evening on Saturday 13th July was North-East singer-songwriter Steve Daggett who had everyone singing along to some of Lindisfarne's greatest hits. On Sunday night blues master Steve Morrison closed the festival with an exciting set of songs that had people up dancing in the aisles.
Horncliffe Events would like to thank all the volunteers, everyone who attended, and especially all the sponsors, including Simpson’s Malt.
